A while back I went to Canada (1994) and there was a place called Tim Hortons that sold donuts. Is it also in America, since I'm going to the US of A tomorrow, to watch the US Grand Prix, so is there somethign similar somewhere in Indianapolis? Or anywhere people can reccommend to eat or see?

No go to Dunkin Donuts or Krispy Kreme. Tim Horton's is very yummy (as is its sister company Second Cup) but they are in Canada only.

EDIT: If you're in the midwest, I recommend finding a good chophouse in Indianapolis. Nothing better to savor than good ol' American beef, fresh off the cow.

You might find it near the US/Canada Border. That's it though. Tim Horton was a canadian hockey player (professional) that started the chain.... For history buffs...

Just go with a Dunkin' Donuts. They are all over. You should be able to find their web page somewhere.

They are NOT in Canada only! We have them popping up everywhere here in Ohio, I went to Canada a couple months ago and they were like on every block! I didn't even know they were Canadian before then..

Gee... Maybe that Tim Horton's that's half a mile from my house (in Ohio) is just in my imagination. :p

Lonyo: There are far better places to eat in the U.S. than Tim Hortons (now before all the Canadians here start ripping on me, let me just say that TH's is not bad, it's just fast food). Indianapolis probably has lots of good local restraunts. Of the chain restraunts, two of my favorites are The Olive Garden and TGI Fridays. Chichis and Chillis are also good if you like Tex-Mex.

We now have Krispy Kreme here in Ontario also. THere too sweet. I prefer tim hortons to them. Although when they first opened they were always packed, now I heard there in trouble.

They put up/are putting up 5 of them here in Rochester. I tried them for the first time today. Not too bad, cheaper and better than Krispy Kreme IMO.

hahah that sounds soo gay

They're not so much happy as they are delicious....

I prefer them to donuts because they a much better surface area to volume ratio. With donuts you get mostly the dough inside, with tim bits you get more glazing/flavour than dough.

For those that don't know what I'm talking about, tim bits are round pieces of dough, approx 2-3cm in diameter....
