I am Canadian and I actually do prefer Starbucks thesedays.
Timmys is much easier though. There are 60 in London alone.

Starbucks = Staryucks. Burnt coffee.

Dunkin isn't bad, but their stores are woefully inconsistent when it comes to coffee strength. When their coffee beans are on sale I'll buy them and grind them myself.

I've bought several bags of various coffee beans at sam's Club and they have all been pretty bad; muddy.

New England coffee is a decent pre-ground that is readily available in supermarkets.

I like Tim Horton's and all, but Starbucks does it for me. But if you want crap, I don't see how people could possibly line up to buy McDonald's coffee. Got my second cup in a week from them yesterday while getting breakfast, what a load of tasteless crap. It's like drinking warm water with a bit of a coffee smell.

Sucks for you guys that don't have them yet.
I like their Fireside blend. The only Caribou we have here is in the mall, which is quite a bit out of the way for me, so I don't buy it very often. I've been buying Eight o' Clock whole bean lately and for ~$6/lb, it's almost as good as the Fireside (which is 2x the cost)

I'm surprised there aren't more Peet's fans here. I never bought into the hype until I tried their regular, plain old cup of joe when I was in San Fran this summer. Not the single faintest hint of bitterness whatsoever, and I drank it black with no sugar (as someone suggested.) Wow, that's damn good coffee!

A deceased hockey player (Toronto & Buffalo) who opened a few coffee & cruller shops on the Niagara peninsula. They are now franchised & as Gatecrasher3 says: "if anyone from the US comes to Canada one of the first things you will notice is that there is a tim hortons every 10 feet here. "

The coffee is better than average but I prefer SB decaf Sumatran. At home, I use 8 O'Clock or occasionally treat myself to a nice Kona.

No idea what Tim Hortons is.

I think you should add Carabou Coffee on that list.
