Tightest CompUSA story ever! (well, maybe)

So i'm buying an SMC wireless router and wireless PCMCIA card at CompUSA tonight since i like instant satisfaction and didn't feel like ordering over the internet

I see that the wireless router is marked 199.99, so i go to buy it and it comes up 219.99

So i'm like "that's wrong"

so the lady calls a dude over to go "check it out"

well, i followed this "dude" back to check it out with him....except, and this is key, he didn't REALIZE i followed him cause he wasn't paying attention

anyway, i see him look at the tag, and then RIP IT DOWN AND TEAR IT UP....(obviously it was marked wrong)

so he turns around and there i am, about a foot taller than him standing over him and i say "i saw what you just did"

so he runs back and, surprise surprise, i GET THE PRICE I WANTED!

hehe....that was the highlight of my day for sure

man, i woulda been going off like fireworks on the 4th of july if i went back to find that the price was torn down w/out my knowing it....

heheheh

now, for wireless connectivity throughout all 3 levels of my house!

one time. me and a friend went to our compusa. and this was when stb voodoo2 12mbs were $299 and they had a $50 rebate or something.

well we walked into the store and saw that they mispriced it at $149 with the rebate still so $99. they let us have them no questions asked, and then changed the price.

<< sohcrates, can i take you shopping with me? i need your expertise >>

sure!

'cept i don't get out to Cali that often.....

but maybe this will be a good excuse!

i have a feeling the compusa guy wouldve given u the price after he ripped it up. compusa is usually good about this stuff. however it would suck for the rest of the people because no more wrong price up. Where I go, they always screw up on pricing and usually honor the price and rip up the tag.

THAT KICKS @$$! Man I wanna bust someone like that!
P.S.--Do you have a super low voice, so it's like--[super low voice]yo, what you doin'? I saw you do dat, man[/super low voice] because that'd be super awesome

I don't know about where you are, but in RI they HAVE TO give you the price marked on the Item, no matter how wrong it is!

i have sworn to never ever buy anything from compusa again because of the way they treat their customers.. i do not need their overpriced crap anyway. i will also tell this to everyone i know that is looking for a computer...

I have a great Frys story, I was taking back a old dead Viper TnT card that was 2 years old I told the girl at the desk I did not have a receipt she said that was OK she would just scan the box. Well the box would not scan show she typed in the skew number, guess what shy typed in the wrong number and it came up as a $416.00 item and she gave me a store credit.

I go to grab a new Ge-Force 3 this is when they first came out when they were selling for $399.00 as I take it up to pay for it the girl scans it and it comes up as $199.00 some one had put a Ge-Force 2 price tag on it.
So I got a new Ge-Force 3 card and made $200.00
Now that is a sweet deal.
