TigerDirect has XFX R9 290 for $220 and XFX R9 290X for $260 after main in rebates/applicable $10 off coupon code.

Both come with a lifetime warranty as long as you register the card within 30 days of purchase date.

XFX Double Dissipation 290 card are very quiet.

When comparing after-market simulated 290/290X (labeled R9 290 OC & R9 290X OC), that's a great option for buyers looking to get a lot more performance from R9 285/280X/GTX960 2-4GB cards but don't want to spend $300-500 on R9 390/390X/980 cards.

There should also be additional benefits for Bank of America (10% cash back) or Discover credit card holders due to cash back.

I picked one up last night, they raised the price, it was 259 after all of the rebates yesterday evening, Also if you bank with regions they will give an additional 10% off up to a 50 dollar max on a lifegreen checking account.

Forget it, just returned my 2-nd XFX 290x , idle 52c and load 90-95c, VRM overheats 110c even i added extra heat-sink and fan.
Instead buying Gigabyte GTX 970 G1, 63c OC at load and same performance.
Adding $40 but i'm really happy with my decision and don't care about "famous" 3.5GHZ ram.

I don't see how you getting a bad unit is relevant to this deal?
