pretty good deal on a cheap core i3 rig:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...136&CatId=5205

GIGABYTE GA-H61M-S2-B3 Intel 6 Series Motherboard
Intel Core i3-2100 3.10 GHz Dual Core Processor
Lite-On Internal 24X DVD Writer
Patriot 4GB DDR3-1333MHz G2 Desktop Memory Module
Patriot 4GB DDR3-1333MHz G2 Desktop Memory Module
EVGA GeForce GT 520 1GB DDR3 PCIe Dual DVI w/HDMI
Thermaltake V2 ATX Mid Tower Case with 450W PSU

of note, the kit has no HDD, comes with a geforce 520, and (opinion) doesn't come with a retarded case + PSU
especially nice if you have extra copies of windows lying around

Nice find, especially with Bank of America AddItUp! rewards @ TigerDirect being 6% cash back. Shipping is around $12. Tempting!

Everything about that deal makes sense but the Geforce 520. And there's the rub - any benefit you get from the bundle goes out the door because the 520 is $50AR. Plus the RAM cost is ridiculous - it's twice what it would cost at Newegg

Just buy all the parts on their own for at Newegg - the system has a built in Intel GPU anyway, which isn't a heck of a lot weaker than the 520.

(1) G.Skill 8GB set memory ($42): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231424
(2) CPU ($125): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115078
(3) MB ($70): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...;20GA-H61M-S2-
(4) LG DVD Burner ($19): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16827136238
(5) Thermaltake V3 case with PSU ($60): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811133185

Total: $316
While the TigerDirect deal comes out less AR, it's a ton of rebates and you have a video card you don't need. You can save more by picking less expensive motherboards on Newegg (that one isn't the best deal).

Okay... and? The case you linked doesn't come with a power supply, so tack on another $30 for that.
