also, they had to lengthen the master course just to make it more challenging for woods

now how many golfers you know command such f34r? 😀

 awesome Masters this year, didn't miss a second of the action. "The chip" as I'm sure it will come to be known as, was simply amazing! My wife and I were high-fiving each other - fricking unbelievable sports moment - WOW. Tiger haters... ahahah. Deal with it, he is the best and he's not going anywhere. He might have ups and downs but he is other-worldly talented - besides if you don't mind, some golfers actually LOVE what he does for the game because he PUSHES THE ENVELOPE of greatness. Personally I'm just priveleged to watch what he can do! Go Tiger!!

Weir had a respectable showing too!!!!

agreed, i personally think tiger has set a new standard for greatness in golf. i don't think MJ, Wilt or Magic was as impressive in BBall as Tiger has been in Golf.

shoot, in one calender year, he won all 4 grand slams and either broke or tied the course record EACH TIME.

name one accomplishment by any athlete EVER that compares to that.

I don't know if any other sport has had a Tiger Woods. Perhaps Gretzky, other than that I'm drawing a blank.

Cut and Paste joke

A couple was on their honeymoon, lying in bed, about ready to consummate their marriage, when the new bride says to the husband, "I have a confession to make, I'm not a virgin."

The husband replies, "That's no big thing in this day and age."

The wife continues, "Yeah, I've been with one guy."

"Oh yeah? Who was the guy?"

"Tiger Woods."

"Tiger Woods the golfer?"

"Yeah."

"Well he's rich, famous and handsome. I can see why you went to bed with him."

The husband and wife then make passionate love. When they get done, the husband gets up and walks to the telephone. "What are you doing?" asks the wife. The husband says, "I'm hungry, I was going to call room service and get some food." "Tiger wouldn't do that!" She claims.

"Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?"

"He'd come back to bed and do it a second time." The husband puts down the phone and goes back to bed to make love with his wife a second time.

When they finish, he gets up and goes over to the phone. "What are you doing?" She asks. The husband says, "I'm still hungry so I was going to call room service to get some food."

"Tiger wouldn't do that." Again she claims.

"Oh yeah? What would Tiger do?"

"He'd come back to bed and do it a third time."

The guy slams down the phone and goes back to bed and makes love to his wife a third time. When they finish he's tired and beat. He drags himself over to the phone and starts to dial. The wife asks, "Are you calling room service?"

"No! I'm calling Tiger Woods to find out what's par for this damn hole!"

🙂

Very good for Tiger. He needed it - I was pulling for him.

DiMarco never let down and played some great golf. To be 3 down from Tiger in Augusta and playing to a draw is an accomplishmenet in and of itself. But it all came down to a playoff, as it should.

One of the best master's finishes in recent memory for me (other than Phil winning it last year). Incredible show - watched every hole from start to finish this year and last.

Good for him, he regains his #1 ranking as well. And we have the whole season.

What a great final round. It looked to me like Chris Dimarco outplayed Tiger everywhere but the green. Dimarco's putter failed him and cost him the tourney.

I guess Tiger really doesn't need Butch. Can't wait to hear what "sports talk host" Jim Rome has to say today. 😉 😛

I'm sure Tiger will get his 'props' in the 'Jungle'... 🙂

spidey07: it's true, Dimarco's putter really did let him down! I wonder if he will change back to a more traditional grip. His 'claw' grip is pretty funky!

I was doing the dishes during the chip shot on 16. Luckily my wife yelled loud enough and was able to rewind the DVR for me to see it. Unbelievable! 🙂

People dislike winners (Yankees, Duke, Tiger). That's why its easy to root for guys like Phil & the Redsox.

weird, i feel that way about MJ and most times it seems like i'm the only one that does. 😉

i can't figure out why people all love MJ but hate Tiger, i can understand disliking kobe, but really is tiger more like Kobe or more like MJ?
He's more like MJ. Like MJ in Basketball nobody works harder than Tiger in his sport. Not only does he spend countless hours pratcing his putting and game he also spends hours upon hours in the Gym working on his condition, something that was almost unheard of for a golfer before Tiger hit the scene.

God damm, I hated when I type this long @ss reply and accidently deleted it.

My point is that so many people are saying how Woods almost choke and Dimarco played great and almost won, etc....
Remembered that at the start of Sunday, DiMarco had a 4 shot lead and lost it in half an hour. Dimarco have an incredible lead at one point. 7 straight birdies took care of that.

And Woods had his share of bad luck.
The eagle that rolled of the greens and the approach that went of the flagstick.
Both ended up being bogeys when they should have been birdies...4 shots difference there.

Woods is so mentally strong when he has a chance to win on sunday, but watching DiMarco waste no time hitting a shot, and then nailing it, was just flat out intimidating to watch. :Q

27 holes of mind-bending competition between these guys yesterday, it doesn't get any better than that.
