If he was eaten by the tiger he wouldn't be alive in a hospital fighting for his life.

Per the article, the man was playing with the tiger prior to a performance, something he tended to do in the past. Tiger just got a little too frisky and took as bigger swipe at the guy which happened to be a bad meeting between tiger claws and man neck. That doesn't typically work out so well for the later.

I'd have a great example of the aftermath of a tiger eating someone. But I should rather not post...

LOL tigers are our friends. They have feelings like a human. Hanging out with monsters is stupid.

Per the article: you're full of shit

The article specifically says BIT many times, most importantly in the title.

Trainer fights for life after tiger bit him on the neck as horrified visitors watched at Steve Irwin's zoo

...

He said he saw the tiger jump on the front of the trainer and lunge at the man's neck with his jaws.

Uhh, the first was a swipe knocking him into the water before the tiger jumped on him and bit him playfully. The article states that the trainers did not think the tiger was actually trying to eat the man. The tiger was acting like a big playful cat without realizing the damage it was doing to the trainer. Also, looks like the article was updated a bit more since this morning. You know changes like that happen.
