Well IMDB is quite wrong. I'm pretty sure there was/is going to be a prequel of FFVII for PHS and there is going to be a shooter featuring Vincent that takes place after FFVII.

But FFVII: AC is a movie, simple as that.

Why can't they just release another FF VII rpg on the PS2 instead of a shooter featuring Vincent (my least favorite character of the mix) and all this sh!t on cell phones and the PSP. If they took the effort spent on these games and concentrated it on a good followup for the PS2 they could make a killing.

Even if it was the crappiest game of all time they could still make a killing. I think they really just don't want to let anybody down.
