Ticks and Leeches by Tool, double bass in the beginning?

In the opening part of the song, is that successive drumming double bass?

Not at the beginning. The very beginning sounds like toms and maybe snare. About 57 seconds or so in, I heard the double bass. Another good example of double bass in in Metallica's "One."

Edit: I take that back, it sounds more like 45 seconds in is where the double bass really starts but it's more audible at :57.

Ahh, okay, how about at 7:40 into the song. Stupid me, forgot to include the time.

It sounds like the double bass is there at 7:40 but at 7:45, it's a lot more pronounced again.
