ONLY between the the Ti4600 128Mb or ATI Radeon 9600 PRO 128Mb, which you all choose (no other choices please)?

I can pick one or the other for free - I already know the specs, just looking for which card you all would pick?

Free?...wow. Well if you are looking to use aa/af, definately pick the 9600pro. Also good with the dx9 support. Only advantage the 4600 has is raw power, so if you don't use aa/af, I guess the 4600 would be a tad bit faster.

In this hardwarefr review the 9600pro was 18.7% faster than the 4200 overall in 12 games (1600x1200). This would put it right around a 4600 which is about 15-20% faster than a 4200.

When they ran the benches at ? 10x7 4AA/8AF ? the 9600pro was 86.4% faster than the 4200 which would put it way ahead of a 4600.

I would take 9600pro. DX9 support too, 4600 is only DX8.

If you go 9600pro and want to overclock make sure you get one with the 2.8ns Samsung memory.

thanks for some great points... well said

Definitely the 9600P. Just make sure your MB supports it (only works in AGP4x/8x, I think).

9600pro.
Its faster than the Ti4600 how it is, and they OC very well. So it`ll blow a Ti4600 out of the water.
