Technically, neither. 😉

But since that's not an option, Ti4200. The neutered memory bus of the 9600SE means it'll start choking hard, even though it's a "generation ahead" of the Ti.

As a rough guide this review shows the performance difference between a GF4 Ti4200 and a Radeon 9600 (ofcourse the 9600 SE is slower than a 9600)

I had the GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB for many years before I made the move to the ATi 9800 Pro, and that is only because it was on SALE.

The GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB was flawless and got great reviews. I know it has been recommended as the budget card like a year ago. I say GeForce4 Ti4200 is awesome card.

If you let me know which games you use I might be able to tell you how the GF4 Ti4200 performs because I have loads of results for lq, mq, hq at resolutions from 800x600 to 1600x1200 for alot of modern games released upto July of this year.
