I have a Planar 174 LCD panel which should arrive on monday or tuesday and would like to hear the thoughts of all on the Vid Card decision I must make. I currently have a visiontek GF3 with vga only. My alternatives as i see them (pls suggest any others)

1) Wait out the GF4 - so stick with the vga output on the GF3 , wait 4-5 months for GF4's with DVI to show up. any feedback the acceptability of vga output on newer LCD panels ( i heard that the DAC's used on newer panels narrow the gap between the PQ of the vga v DVI output. I am a h/w junkie so i don't mind jumping on the early adoptor bandwagon from time to time,
2) Get a Radeon 8500 with DVI - This could give me two screen capability, keeping the CRT for gaming and LCD for other, but i have to say that i wanted to get rid of the behemoth CRT off my desk and i am admittedly an nvidiot junkie, (TNT2, GFDDR and now GF3)
3) for about a $175 i could get a GF3Ti200 with DVI out giving me roughly equivalent speed to the visiontek GF3 i have but with DVI to the panel.

I guess one could say this is a problem that most would like to have and i may be jumping ahead of myself as i haven't even played around with the panel to test acceptability of vga output or gaming performance but i thought i would float this out to the forum and see what sort of thoughts the group has.

Badga!
