I know where to get games (ticalc.org, ftp.ti.com), so the question is simply, Does anyone have any good games they could recomment? An actual RPG would be nice (one where you can walk around, not just one of those games where it gives you 3 choices of what to do), and Zelda is unfinished. Come on, I know lots of you use TI-89s, so lets hear your best games that keep you doing anything but classwork.

Not sure of any good RPGs, but Phoenix89 is probably one of the best games for the TI-89. A lot like Galaxia, only better graphics. :Q

I tried in the beginning of the summer to get a game os working for the TI-89 and had no luck. Followed most of the tips and instructions at the sites mentioned earlier. Pretender, can you tell me which one you used?

I'm using DoorsOS, it works fine. I'm not sure exactly which version, I downloaded the entire contents of the ti.com and ticalc.org sites and installed random versions of Doors until I got one which worked well.

I've tried phoenix (the older TI version), as well as Mario89 (nice, almost exactly like Gameboy version), breakout (not bad, not too good either), Zelda (unfinished, but looks nice), Simpsons (it's like drug wars, you need to go around buying and selling stuff to pay off homer's bar tab), Simcity (crap, all dialog based, nothing like actual game). Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll put 'em on my calc by monday so I'll have something to do during class.

bah get a visor and play games in class :) I found theres not many good games for ti-89 as 83's and such! FF7 is just horrible! besides the start screen, theres hardly any gfx!
