I use the chrome/google gears app for gmail/GAFYD with offline syncing. I just don't have any reason to use a real client anymore.

Used to use Thunderbird, switched over to Gmail through Firefox a few years ago. It's just much more convenient to have email and chat open in the same browser tab, and I don't have to worry about yet another program running on my machine that is unnecessary.

I just use GMail within Firefox now. Doesn't require another program open, and I just leave it as my very first tab so it's easy to notice when I get new mail.

edit: pix. I can't believe I ever used to use the shitty webmail site through my school.

Still use Thunderbird with GMail; I don't chat, and all my mail is archived there. I also have a work email account in Thunderbird.

Chrome with Google Mail Checker Extension. I don't have to have Gmail constantly open to know if I have new mail.

I use Thunderbird. I like having my mail available offline, and having it stored in a free format.

thunderbird.

i close and reopen firefox all the time, so it wouldnt make sense to me to put my mail in firefox.

i leave thunderbird always on with the minimize-to-tray extension, and set my tray to hide everything but notifications. that way the only time it appears is when i have new mail.

I just switched to fully Gmail last week. I import a few POP email accounts into the Gmail account. I love it. Since I use a few computers at home.. and one for work.. its much more convenient.

I had Thunderbird on my PC for the longest time, then when I switched to Mac I switched to Mail.app.

Thunderbird is an awesome Mail client and will do everything you need it to do. But then again it depends on what webmail you use.

I use Apple Mail I find it easier to keep track of my 4 Gmail accounts, two from my domain, and school email.
