Thunderbird Voltage

I have a thunderbird 950, I am wondering what the voltage should be at? What are the problems associated with incorrect voltage settings? if the voltage is too low, can it cause teampature issues?

The voltage on T-Birds up to 950 is 1.7 Volts, I believe. 1GHz and up is 1.8.
Low voltage will cause instability. Too high of a voltage can cause temperature issues.

i got a tbird 800 using vcore of 1.75v. is this voltage set too high??? my Via hardware monitor is reporting a insame core temperature of 60C!!! any advice is appreciated.

I run a 1G at 1.75 and it will climb to the mid 50's C. I wouldn't say it's alarm time but you may want to check the whole cooler system, good thermal contact, up to spec fan speed, maybe think about a larger HS that pushes more heat off the sink. My first try would be good thermal contact. Good Luck.
Cheers,
Joe
