I didn't overclock it or anything.. (yeah.. uh huh).. but I was wondering.. this is the speed that sandra posts.. this is also the speed that I get from AMD's little app.. cpu's aren't supposed to run at exactly the rated speed are they? or are they?

its also running at 59c.. is it poosible that my supplier overclocked a lower processor? Other things with this system are making me think that they are crooks. 🙁

How would I know by checking the bios..?? what do I look for? The core frequency is set to 100.. I don't know what the multiplier is...

I wouldn't worry since my duron 600 runs at 908 (100x9). The only thing that bothers me is that only overclocked cpus tend to do this since the CPUs are usually overclocked beyond that of the manufacturer's max speed rating and BIOSes tend not to have that speed rating if the product does not exist (e.g. 900 duron)

That's what I'm worried about.. I purchased this thing at 900.. it's supposed to be a 900 mhz chip.. not like a 800 or something.. I dont' know how to tell without physically looking at the L1 bridge or whatever.. so I checked what the bios had to say.. and this is it;

v core = 1.74v
+3.3 = 3.48v
+5 =4.94v
+12 =11.91v
-12 =ignore
-5 =ignore

does anyone understand what's going on here?
thanks.

What mobo are you using? I assume that you're using the A7V? Some motherboards will give you a slightly higher reading. As for 59C, check wether you have proper cooling space. I'm running at 56.5C at 1.8V
