Is 60 degrees a safe temp for a t-bird 1.4? I've tested for 2 hours with prime95 and it was fine, but I know it's a pretty high temp.

if you dont plan on ocing, yeah thats aite
my tbird has seen 85-95C for 6months and still going strong (after 2 yrs)

besides, tbird 1.4 was the hottest cpu by amd ...lotsa ppl had some trouble cooling
it called for a mighty fan and a hefty heatsink for the most part if you wanted to oc

Those are pretty high temps but as long as it's stable I wouldn't care too much. I ran an overlcocked tbird at 1456Mhz for a long time but my temps never got over 123F and were usually 113F while gaming. You might want to look into a better cpu cooler or improve the air flow in your case.

lol, I would, but I'm too cheap to do that. Right now I have a stock AthlonXP 2000 fan on it.
