I retrieve my e-mail from my ISPs POP server using Thunderbird 1.0.7 and have had no problems for over 12months untill now.
I had 100 odd new messages to retrieve. Thunderbird got halfway through retrieving these messages and then started to chug on one of them for 30seconds or so. After this time I recieved the following error:
The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.netspace.net.au responded: Message is deleted.
If I login to my ISPs webmail I can access all new messages and there does not seem to be any problems. From the error message it sounds like it is trying to download a message that doesn't actually exist on the mail server anymore. How can I force it to skip this message?
Each time I load up Thunderbird, the first 1 or 2 tries to retrieve my mail will result in the error message above. If I try again it crashes Thunderbird with either no message at all or a generic windows error message.
I know others who use this same mail server and have no difficulty... what could have caused this? A corrupt message?
