I hate posting my finds here because whenever I go back, they are always out of what I'm looking for... Anyway, here goes:
. This place carries lots O' stuff, but here are some of the good buys I found:

1- Thumbscrews. These are the basic nickle-plated steel jobs found on a lot of the cheaper cases. #6-32 thread. the overall length is 5/8" with 1/4" threaded. 50c. for a 10pk.

2- The hard to find 3.5" floppy drive adapter kit to put em in a 5" bay. This one comes with the power and cable adapters (the power adapter alone would cost more than this whole kit from most places) and screws. The adapter bracket is made of plastic. 50c. each.

3- Viewsonic ViewMate multimedia kbd. w/ integrated mouse device. $19.75.

. Some of their other stuff is well priced compared to most others - I'll leave it to you to dig out other bargains, but their shipping charges can be high.
. Their resellerrating isn't very good and they are located in Nevada (normally two big strikes), but I gave 'em a shot anyway and wasn't disappointed.
. UPS ground seemed to take a long time - maybe had to go farther west before coming east. And anything above ground shipping ($7. up to $99. of purchases) is outrageous. For example, if you wanted the kbd mentioned above in three days instead of a week (east coast), you'd pay ~ $22. in shipping. So if you want it both fast and cheap - get it at newegg.

Linkage.

All I know is that Transcend also makes mobos. Looks pretty cool but only USB 1.1...

Smart folks don't just buy the thumbscrews. When they need something that justifies the shipping cost, they have 'em throw in a few bags of thumbscrews and a 3 to 5" adapter or two... I guess some can be wise but not smart ;) .

Having to buy other stuff makes it not a hot deal at all. Maybe you should change the thread to include all that other stuff you buy if that's so smart?

Here it is. Would you hesitate a second getting into the SUV and running to Home Depot or Lowes to buy a bag of 10 thumbscrews? Well, if your round trip is over 23 miles, you just covered that shipping charge and likely paid more for the screws. Pick your poison. It's all a matter of timing. Waiting is. Some are neither...

200 thumbscrews & 20 3.5 --> 5.25 adapters = $26 shipped. Now I will never need any more forever!

Good catch, ezland. I meant to note the PayPal payment option in the top post.

Evadman,
. That sounds like a plan, but here's hoping you never buy one of those fancy Al cases that use the M3 (metric) case screws... They usually come with the tscrews anyway - as long as you don't lose any, you're set.

How about a Barton 2500+ "pull" for $69.00 - Perhaps being a pull, it will be an older unlocked processor. Of course, you can buy a new retail one fo $80 total at NewEgg. :)

Thumbscrews are out of stock.

Other good stuff: grounding wrist strap, $3.98; 3-way RCA video/audio switch (to attach games/VCRs/etc to TVs with only one input), $3.88, Socket A/370 heatsink&fan, $1.48.

(nobody needs the socket a/370 stuff, but the small quiet fan can be removed and set to blow on a warm harddrive. Worth a thought...)
