Thumbscrew Sale @ SVC only .10 each!!!!!

pretty good deal, the first class shipping isn't that bad either, i'd buy some if i wasn't waiting for over a month to get a hd cooler from svcompucycle.

this pricing is only available in gold, red, green and blue. the silver and black ones are 20 for $7 or 40 for $10.

Wow! Good deal on thumbscrews! Do they have any deals on racks, iron maidens, or boiling oil? It's hard to find a reliable source for medieval torture devices these days.

Thanks!

Ordered mine 🙂 Thanks!

If you plan to order 100, the shipping jumps to $6.25 (first class for me):
100 Blue for $10.0 + $6.25 S/H
99 Blue for $9.9 + $3.99 S/H

Maybe just coincidence 😕

Man, ya beat me to it!

One word of caution, the screws don't look like the pic on their site. The blue ones are really light blue or silver depending on the light. And the red ones are goldish with a small hint of red. But hey, at a dime each it doesn't matter.

Another word of caution...These are not high-quality, machined screws. They're pot-metal, cast, then turned for the threads.

Why is this a bad thing?

They won't take much torque before breaking right where the screwpost meets the body.

This from experience.

They're okay for a "set it, and forget it" use, but if you're going to be in and out of your case a lot, get some better quality ones like the ones Lian Li uses.

Am I missing something here these are THUMBSCREWS as in finger tight or low torque.... I never planning on cranking on these just something to keep my PCI/AGP cards in line and a side panel attached nothing more.

Anyways thanks for the heads up I'm sure it will save someone some grief, as for me I like to live on the edge 😉

Gotta love SVC, they shipped my order the same day I placed it. I just wish I had thought and bought more thumbscrews at that price.... I only got 40 of the blues.

Well.....I stupidly used the provided screwdriver slots on a few things.... I don't like "finger-tight" for certain applications, and proceeded to pop the heads off the screws with a minimum of force. YMMV.

Watch out for these guys.
I fat-fingered the shipping address and sent an email to their cusotmer service immediately and the next day they sent an email saying 'Sorry, the shipment had already gone out."
When I complained and said that was BS and that I would warn everybody, they simply said, "Please do."
Nice.

I'd say that was a fairly astute response from them. Thanks for warning us that they ship out fast. Double-check your info before clicking that submit button next time.

Yeah exactly what is your point? You screwed up so its THEIR fault??? This is a good case to think before you speak.
Also kudo to SVC for their great shipping!

beware, these are terrible quality thumbscrews. I ordered some a couple weeks ago to replace some missing ones in my lian-li. They were too fat to be able to screw in with my hand, so I had to use a screwdriver. Using only a minimum of force, they broke off, leaving the end permanantly in the holes. I'll have to buy a smaller drill bit to drill them out. :| Avoid these.

Where can we buy QUALITY thumbscrews? I certainly don't want the broke off end permanantly stay in the screw holes.

these are supposedly OEM lian-li thumbscrews; $.49 seems a decent if slightly high price but they are good quality screws that you wont need to worry about.

Thanks for the heads up! I order 40, more than I will need for a lifetime. I think they would be ok to hold the cover on.

Thanks Lucky....I'm glad to see that mine was not an isolated experience. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the link, too! I've been looking for some more of those screws. The Lian Li's are simply the best!

You get an "11" for that one!

Here are a couple of links to 20¢ thumbscrews found in this other thread, if you guys are interested.

Xoxide

Nexfan

They would appear to be similar to the OEM Lian Li thumbscrews but for less than half the price. Unfortunately, I can't attest to their quality but they look like they are of same quality as the Lian Li thumbscrews.
