Thumbnail views

In some of my photo folders, in both the thumbnail view and the filmstrip view, several photos have the same picture showing. When the photo is open, it is the actual photo that I have saved. Can this be fixed, or just a minor glitch that I will have to live with?

By "same picture" I don't know if you mean "the wrong picture" or an iconic representation of the content (which Windows uses when it can't decode the format). You might try deleting the thumbs database forcing Windows to rebuild it. Open explorer in the folder where the images are and look for a file called thumbs.db. If you don't see it go to Tools | Folder Options and click the View tab. Now find "Hidden files and folders" in the settings tree and check the "Show hidden files and folders" radio button. A few lines below that uncheck "Hide protected operating system files." Accept the dialog and if necessary refresh the explorer window. You should now see thumbs.db. Change the folder view to "Details" instead of "Thumbnails" if you haven't already. Now delete the thumbs.db file, and change the view back to "Thumbnails" to rebuild the database.
