Thumbnail view cant get it back

Well the thumbnail view worked for folders and pictures etc normally, but then i replaced my windows icons, and that seem to take away my thumbnail view??? I was thinking the folder thumbnail preview would be taken away because that probably only works with the default vista generic folder, but i also lost picture and video thumb preview??

I check the "folder and search options" under "organize" and it had the "always show icons, never tn" unchecked???

anyway i can restore thumbnails??
 
no nero, but ur right perhaps its some program i installed, i was using axialis icon workshop then peeked at explorer and my thumb view came back? but oddly the defualt icon folder i replaced came back aswell, is there anyway i can get thumbnails for pics, and vids but not have those folder previews?
 
theres an option in the folder options, something like

view icons, but not always thumbnails, or something like that. at the top of folder options, it works.
