Thug pulls gun on kid and gets the shit beat out of him

looks like someone got what he deserved and then some. would this be considered aggravated assualt with a deadly weapon?

everyone involved was thugs, the dude with the gun asked the kid if he was from "Mira Loma" Which is full of white trash wanna be thugs who do nothing but tweak and skate. They also love to start shit. Dude shouldn't have pulled a gun out, but I'd bet my house the white kids were typical Mira Loma punks, so somebody should have beat their ass after they were done beating his ass. They're no better than he was, and if given a chance would have pulled a gun too.

Self defense is always a good thing (pretty nice moves actually on the take down). His life was threatened and big guy is lucky he didn't get killed. The skaters were not thugs in any way. Thugs would have kept the beat down going with every single one of them constantly kicking the downed person until they were barely breathing. So don't lump somebody as a thug just because they are white and defended themselves.

when a person starts swinging a skate board at the head of a person who was already down and getting the shit beat out of him (he wasn't going to magically get up) that's a thug move. If you listen closely to the confrentation, it's clear it wasn't just a random thing. Somebody said something to piss off dude. Gun comes out, beat down happens. When the swinging of the skateboard happened the kid who got the gun pulled on him was no longer in danger. And a Skateboard is a lethal weapon. I think the Mexican with the gun and the one who swung the board at him should both be locked up.

Look at when the gun comes out, the skater doesn't seem bothered, and at one point he almost walks away. I've had a gun pulled on me, and unless the dude was a complete psycho with no regard for his own life. He's had a gun pulled on him before, you don't play it that cool when there's a barrel from a pistol in your face. He doesn't get scared and ends up punching the dude who has a gun which would KILL HIM. Nobody is this cool the first time a gun is pulled on them.
 
White boy probably figured out it's a fake gun. Nobody's stupid enough to pull punches on a guy with a real gun that close to his face.

There are lots of possible reasons, it's dumb no matter how you look at it. But it's not totally unbelievable that these people have had past altercations that led up to this. To have a gun pulled and it clearly not be a robbery attempt tells me there's a lot we don't know. All I know by watching the video is a guy pulls out a gun, and a group of people go well beyond simply neutralizing the threat. So everyone here is wrong, dude with the pistol might have set it off, but that doesn't excuse the people taking cheap shots after the situation was already under control.

These are kids who don't know any better. It was probably a tactic to scare the skateboarder so he would stop doing whatever was bothering the gun wielder.

It's not about race. It's about a dispute between the two. QueBert isn't saying what you accuse him of saying.
