I feel sad for the Grandma who felt she can't punish the kid without going to jail. He deserves to get his ass beat. Losing video games for a week, shit that kid doesn't know what a real punishment is.

Yup, I guarantee you if his grandma or crackhead dad would lay into him with a belt every once in awhile he wouldn't be doing this crap.

Maybe the popo will send him to timeout?

Interviewer:Do you realize you could perhaps kill somebody?

Kid:I want to do hood rat stuff for my friends

Interviewer:You don't think you should be punished for all this?

Kid:Just a little bit - maybe no video games for a whole weekend.

See, at 7, this kid's getting ALL of this from his parents/grandparents. They need court-mandated parenting classes or something.

whats wrong with parents these days, seems like the idea of punishment and consequences has been lost among today's youth.

Maybe because the majority of effective punishments and consequences nowadays will get you arrested and your child put in foster care?

A quick search couldn't find this bit of news posted.

This should draw at least a few laughs. Watch the video.

3 days before the anticipated release of GTA4, coincidence?

Not through Tampa Bay...that is where the news was...this happened here in Palm Beach County about 3 hours away from tampa bay.

Naw, he only wanted to ghost ride the whip. The violence in video games made him do much much more... BAN VIDEOGAMES!!!!!!111

I don't know if it's right to find humor in this tragedy. I think it's completely ridiculous and absurd, so I can't help but laugh.

The grandma's financial future is completely ruined. Is she nearing retirement? How is she going to pay for all the damages? I would feel completely lost and desperate in her situation.

Even the kid (who I doubt actually believes everything coming out of his own mouth) understands the deep hole he put his grandma in. Hence "Can my mommy help pay?".

In other news, I just heard on the local news channel (I live in San Diego) that a teenager stole 2 copies of GTA4, got caught on camera and was later arrested. He looked about 16-18, and was seen on the channel trying to kick out the window in the backseat of a cop cruiser. lol.

To be clear, I'm not implying that video game causes people to behave irrationally. I just think the whole gangsta lyfe thing has been taken beyond the realm of parody. If a 7 yr old tells you that it's no biggie to smoke/hit cars/ steal cars, something is wrong with the way society conveys what is unacceptable.
