I've always wanted one of these.

There are bigger sizes for cheaper price but just for transfering homework and lab projects for a college student, 32MB is more than enough.

Creative Labs MUVO 128MB for $139, shipped, no tax.

MP3 Player that doubles as a 128 MB stick. Very cool.

Got mine pricematched and jandr.com for this price.

About a buck a MB considering no tax and shipping and an mp3 player, plus battery, and lanyard to boot!

I find it incredible that 128mb can fit on these little suckers.

It's quite a ripoff to be selling it for this much.

It doesnt cost the manufacturer that much to go from a 32MB chip to a 128
MB chip.

take a 32MB chip, and put 4 more 'AND" gates and you can get 128.

32x4 = 128~

I would be scared if you have a CS degree. 🙂

How do you figure that 4 more AND gates will increase the memory capacity from 32MB to 128MB? Maybe a couple more gates would handle the addressing of the memory, but a few extra transistors isn't going to magically quadruple memory capacity. If it did, I'm sure there would be people trying to mod all of their flash memory chips using little AND gate packages. 🙂

Oops, just realized USB is only compatible with Windows 98, 2000, XP, ME, NT and Mac. I guess I'll just have to keep my floppies to flash EEPROM and transfer files in DOS.

Last I checked, DOS didn't support USB. So I'd say no.

Yea, extra gates aren't going to increase memory size. They would need to either include 3 more 32MB chips, or a higher density single chip or something simlar to that.

I'm very interested. Is this thing going to work on a win2k machine automatically? How about USB 1.1 vs 2.0?

The number of little things I have to xfer around, I used to use my home ftp server, but then that was firewalled off. Floppies suck;.

I just ordered one yesterday fromthe geeks for $19.50

I have been meaning to buy one and try it out. I placed an order and checked them out when I saw that I could get the 32Meg for less than $20 I had to go for it.😉

I have one of these.. I thought it was really cool at first but then it got old and I rarley use it. It only comes in use when you are doing HUGE files. This is faster then burning a CD

Anyone wondering about USB keys the november issue of Maximun PC did a good article on 8 diffrent keys. Capacity, cost per mb, transfer time etc. 16mb upto a 1gb. Stated no USB 2 keys out yet, but soon.
