Thats the number 5.
Here are all the successful settings for my Tbred so far (A7N8X)
166 - 177 X 11
166 - 170 x 11.5
166 - 186 x 10.5
166 - 196 x 10
Highest vcore is 1.7V and all FSbs work OK except some cold boot problems.
I run Crucial PC2100 at 2.7 volts and get 2996/2775 Sandra

What T-Bred you got A or B and 1700 / 1800 etc?

9.5x200 would be nice? ;)

Hey, just got my XP 1700+ from Newegg yesterday and clocked it up to 170*10.5 = 1785 MHz. I just ran CPU Stress Test 6.0 for 9 hours straight and also 3dmark, and sisoft sandra so i think it's pretty sable :) The problem is I have a MSI KT3 Ultra2 which only allows me to set the CPU voltage up to 1.6. I'm going to try manually setting the voltage on the CPU by connecting the right L7 bridges later...does anyone know if the old pencil trick still works to do that? Thanks :)

I think it is better to go with rear defroster repair kit or a cunductive pen. Something about the resistance between the bridges.

has anyone run into problems with overclocking with the 8rda+? 190 X 10 i got to boot into windows but when i run sandra it locks up on me. then i tried 185 X 10 and sandra ran fine but when i ran prime95 it gave me and error after 6 tests. does anyone know of a good setup i can use to avoid running into these problems?

Unless your mb has a 1/6 pci divider, you will always run in potential problems when you run fsb beyond 166.

Tbred 1700+ "A" stepping running at 1.65V (now at 191 x 10) Why 191 well the Ram always reports 1 less so the Ram is at 190.

Incorrect-a-mundo. The nForce2 boards (at least the ASUS one) has locked PCI speed and the ability to lock the AGP bus as well, so divider is not an issue at all on these boards...very nice feature. That's why you see all these people o/c'ing to 200+ on these boards.

it's the good stepping.. just a tad bit older than some of them
mine is a 244.. pretty much all good if they are AIUGA.

Any more OC updates on the 1700+?

I've been watching this thread for a couple of days while waiting for my new mobo/CPU/RAM to arrive. FEDEX guy just dropped off my new EPoX 8RDA+ and my Tbred 1700+ (newegg AIUGA0245) . I'm itching to get this baby rolling, but unfortunately my (2) 512 MB DIMMs of OCZ PC3200 CL2 were delayed and won't be here until Wednesday! Grrrrrrrr..........

Anyone have any experience with OCZ PC3200 and the 8RDA+ ?

Thanks!

Ive heard mixed reviews about OCZ ram. Some people will swear by it while some others think it bad quality. I personally like to stick to consistent reviews such as Samsung Original.

Just playing around earlier today and heres what I did.
12.5x172= 2150mhz at 2.00vcore idle temps around 58c <----- holy crap (this is on slk-800 with vantec tornado)
It booted into windows but I didnt want to push my luck.

Is it just me or are these chips hot hot hot?? Nobody else seems to be getting such hot temps with such a good cooler.

Well, here are preliminary results:

Epox 8KHA+
XP1700+ AIUGA Week 44
Vcore @ 1.7
Vdimm @ 2.8
FSB @ 150
Multiplier @ 12.5
CPU Speed reads 1888 Mhz in Motherboard monitor.

Note: This result was tested with prime95 torture test to assure max stability.

Epox 8K5A2+ results to come shortly...

Here are the 8K5A2+ results:

XP1700+ AIUGA week 44
Vcore @ 2.2
Vdimm @ 2.6
FSB @ 166
Multiplier @ 12.5
CPU speed reads 2082 Mhz in Motherboard monitor. Almost stable.

FSB @ 180
Multiplier @ 11
CPU speed reads 1980 Mhz in Motherboard monitor. Made it through 100 loops of 3D Mark 2001, all tests.

The next stop will be to eventually turn these Dr. Thermal V77-L HSFs' into Dr. Thermal Extremes and put a Delta 80 CFM on instead of the stock 32 CFM fan.

Did you unlock the multiplier on the CPU to get 12.5? I'm interested coz I doubt the 8KHA+ has the feature of automatically unlocking the new CPUs...

I still have the PC2100 memory so the t-bred 1800+ is the better option for me. It's unlocked and the multiplier can get as high as 15 so you can run 15x133=1995 MHz. The 512 MB PC2700 would cost more than the CPU!

Believe it or not but on that board and on the 8K5A2+, the BIOS option of 13 actually comes out as 12.5.

Wierd eh?

BTW...

All of the XP1700+'es that have been hitting the market are factory unlocked from 6x up to 12.5x.

I have a 1700 XP T-Bred from Newegg for soime reason when I run it at a 166FSB after awhile it wil ljust lock up I have PC2700 cracial RAM
I also have a MSI KT3 ULTRA2 I will ussually run the thing at
166 X 10 = 1666Mhz boots at XP 2000
how ever it runs fine as
133 X 12.5 = 1666Mhz boots as XP 2000
I have bumped the Vdim to 2.7 even
Also the Vcore is set to 1.6 which is as high as it can go withthe KT3 ultra 2
I have tried the memory timings at 2.5, 3, 6 even almost as slow as they can go and it still crashed, or just freezes.
