I run my TBred 1700+ using the volcano 7+ at medium speed at 190 x 10 on the A7N8X at 1.675 core voltage (actual 1.71v). I can get as high as 1947 on med speed at 1.7 core volt. So the volcano 7+ is fine. At high speed I bet I can do 2000

I had the same though until I did the test.

Mid 1.9g I would say it is pretty much the physical limit unless you are lucky with a better one. Last time when it was cool (room temp ~10c), I turned all the fans (yes, I have V7+ also, plus 4x75CFM 80mm case fans, 2x PS fans) into highest speed, still no go, would not pass 3dmark at 2g no matter what vcore.

I do have a small CPU burn-in program that seems to "only" stress the CPU... It was called "CPU Stability Test 6.0[Gilgamesh]"...

Have a little performance monitor of the following stuffs:

QuickSort
Whetstone
Fibonacci
Prime Test
Cache Test
Peripheral Test

And 3 modes:
Normal Testing
CPU Warming only
Troubleshooting

And at the bottom there is a status monitor(I'm just opening this program, but not running it):

Threads: 0
Ran: None(this would show the time of run)
Status: Waiting for some action

Usually when I run this program, the CPU will get very hot...I also run this along with SisSoft...2 stressing programs at once.

Didn't try this with 3DMark, though.

Has anyone got any CAS2 DDR400 (3200) working fine on the Nforce 2 @ 200mhz FSB (ram AND CPU) ?

If so did the DDR400 beat the DDR333?

STrange...any suggestion(besides changing a motherboard, of course)

i'm runnin the same 10x166 w/ default voltage. and it wont work at 11 with the default voltage...
what do i do
also my chip is a
RIRGA 0233. i haven't heard any1 talk about that. does any1 else have this?
this setup is runnin clean though i'm gonna loop this all nite.
the temp is cool too and i only have a volcano 7 with 2 enermax case fans.

What cpu is it first?
11x166.666 = 1833.333333 mhz - if it's a palomino it might nto be able to do that.

According to people on the overclockers forum, the RIRGA is an older stepping but seems to be a decent overclocker. I did some searching around and it seems like for a long while, only the 1800+ and above was AIUGA and they were easily overclocking around 2g on air. I think I was the first or something to get the 1700+ version of the AIUGA because I was so excited about my chip when I got it, I posted in a bunch of different forums and the only chip with that stepping they could compare was with the 1800+ chip.

With the AIUGA 0245 stepping people seem to be getting...
10.5x166 @ default
11x166 @ default
11.5x166 @ 1.65
12x166 @ 1.75
12.5x166 @ a bit past 1.875
and mine went to 12.5x168 = 2100mhz @ 1.9 at this speed the bios and windows says it is a 2600+

I'm surprised, that's only 1800mhz which it should actually nearly be rated at.

You might need 1.65 volts and a better cooler (obviously) but I would've thought 1800 wouldn't have been a problem

Classy, that's not bad - I'd be happy with 1900mhz or less from a T-Bred A (low speed model of course) - for 58$ it's classy.

i want to go FASSSSTTTTTEERRRR

How can I identify thoroughbread CPU? I saw some AMD athlon CPU without any text on die ,everything was on some paper under die. Is it thoroughbread?

That is almost exactly what I have gotten...I am at 12x166@1.725. I don;t know about higher though because I refuse to push the voltage higher. This is a very nice overclock at 2.0 GHz anyway...not willing to fry a good proc for an extra 100 MHz. I think people in this thread just have not pushed the voltage enough. But bear in mind, people, that the exact same core coming from AMD is being run at 1.65V for speeds (PR) of 2000+ and greater. So at least you know that this is a safe voltage for this core. Don't hesitate to make the jump from 1.5 to 1.65...it's safe. 1.725 has been running stably for me for a few days now and got me another 100Mhz.

i noticed that most people have been getting the AIUGA 0245. i just got my 1700+ right now, and it's a:

AXDA1700LT3C
AIUGA 024SSPKW

does anyone know why mine's a 'S' while everyone else's is a '5'?

also, what RAM timings are you guys using and at what fsb? i have a stick of samsung pc2700.

Nope, tried as high as 2.0v and as stated eailer, at 12x166@2g, anything above 1.7v will actually make the system crash sooner, won't even make into windows. With 1.65v at least it will boot to windows but crash in benchmaek.

Take a closer look 'S' = '5'

I hate to point out the obvious, but the letter S and the number 5 - cmon look at them - they are one in the same in such small text :)

I guess I'll settle with the 166x10. First, dont' want any abnormal bus speed to influence my PCI stuffs(sound card, network card, and IDE). UNLESS someone can point out that KT4V's PCI speed is fixed at 33MHz regardless what the bus speed is.

Besides, default voltage ain't bad...:)

Here are all the successful settings for my Tbred so far (A7N8X)
166 - 177 X 11
166 - 170 x 11.5
166 - 186 x 10.5
166 - 196 x 10
Highest vcore is 1.7V and all FSbs work OK except some cold boot problems.
I run Crucial PC2100 at 2.7 volts and get 2996/2775 Sandra
