Yeah, these were the results of meandering from link to automotive link, set off by some original link I don't even remember.

I have always loved those Hudson car-based pick-ups, and Delage and Delahaye are pre-war French makes that, in the mid to late thirties produced some of the most gorgeous automotive beauties ever, imho.

Siata was a small Italian firm. This beauty had 4 wheel independent suspension in 1953, just a few years after Ford finally introduces independent front suspension on their cars. Corvettes had beam axels out back well into the sixties.

One incredible detail of this Siata, to me, was that it featured a Fiat sourced 2 liter (~120 cu in) V-8!! 😱
 
I feel a bit gawdy but would like one of these if they made them... Its an Aw-Tow-Mo-Beel... 🙂

Yep... In the movie the sound of it was pretty awesome too... Could`nt find a good real picture of it that is a pic of the model you can buy... But even if it was a kit car I`d bite and put a BBC in it no doubt... :biggrin:
