Someone pleas shop the pic of the dog in front of the cooker and the cooker with meat on it with this quote and have the word cookout in bold red. :). I'm still loling thank you only in texas :)

“The dog is half blind, something like 15 years old and has 3 legs.

I am going to throw a massive party when the dog dies - complete with a cookout, beer, whiskey,,,. I keep trying to get my wife to put the dog down, but she will not do it. “ Texashiker

Not really. Animals are superior to people when it comes to stuff like this, they adapt instead of whine and bitch. I had a Boxer that had to have one of her rear legs removed due to disease at 10 months old. That is actually how I got the dog since the owners were a show dog operation and were going to have her put down instead.

She lived to be 11 years old. She never knew she was missing a leg. She was one of the fastest dogs I have ever seen when it came to chasing down cats and such. It was funny how she would be running around and get a little tired and only stop where she could lean against something so she didn't have try to get up with only 1 rear leg. Smart dog.

Hmmm... Tell that to a horse after it breaks a leg. For the majority of animals in the world, the loss of a limb means death.

And, I know of several one legged dogs. My neighbors have one - it was hit by a car. Now, I keep cats and chickens in the road - it slows down the traffic. :)

Maybe its a predator / prey thing? Maybe predators handle leg injuries better then prey types of animals?

I have never seen a 3 legged wiener dog in my life or any 3 legged dog in IRL .

I used to own a 3 legged dog. It was a mutt that showed up at our house one day and wouldn't leave, so we kept it. It originally had four legs and was young but full grown. Not sure if I still have any pics of him (with either 3 or 4 legs). We named him Jojo, and our other dog (brindle lab mix) was named Kali. One weekend they got out while we were away. We got a call from a veterinarian office from a neighboring town asking if we recognized these dogs. We drove over and there they were. Kali was fine. Jojo was 3 legged. Apparently they tangled with a stray pit bull (nothing against those breeds, this is what was related to us) that mauled Jojo's leg. A woman witnessed it, and after the other dog left she caught ours and brought them to her veterinarian.

I've got a three legged min pin/chihuahua mix. She's amazing adept at moving around. Run, jump, roughhouse with the other dog, whatever.

I had a three legged Fox Squirrel that was still very fast and she could still climb stuff, just not as quick as if she had the 4th leg. That is why I had her as a pet. She could not live in the wild long without being eaten so she lived the life of luxury in my house. She was an amazing pet. Really opened my eyes to just how smart and communicative animals can be.

i had a 3 legged cat after she got cancer on one leg. was kind of funny watching her scratch her ear with the missing leg. the muscles on her hip would move and her ear would flick back and forth and she'd close her eye a bit like she was actually scratching.

my dog has developed cataracts in both eyes at 6 years old and is rather blind. after a few days of him moping when the second one set in he's been fairly normal. runs into things more often. but a lot happier than i would be with cataracts.
