You talk a lot of crap most times,I was just reading the newspaper here,surprise,surprise we have a millionaire's daughter,school teacher,lifeguard,postmen to name a few being sentence,I guess they are all from poor community with no job prospects right?...get real.

The funny thing is that the changes needed are the destruction of the welfare state, which the yoofs are definitely not going to like. Ironically their display of their true colours is probably going to cost them the very thing they love the most - free handouts from welfare. Going forward, they will actually have to have a job to pay for their beer - shock, horror!

I read a similar article in the New York Times. The protesters come from all sorts of backgrounds. Certainly not all are poor, but that's not the only factor even though it seems to be the most common one.

My view is quite simple,I think some of it was due to the guy that got shot last week,the rest was just copy cat riots and opportunists that know UK law is quite soft compared to rest of the World.


Police are in no win situation because if they arrest or kill someone then that has a chance of starting a local riot in that community,damned if they do and damned if they don't.

It was quiet again last night so think it will all quieten down,I just hope the Government does not reduce police manpower via the cuts that are due,I would rather see our soldiers come home and pulled out of the wars.

I know a lot of unemployed and employed people and they stayed at home out of trouble just like I did.

Unemployed people are not(regardless of how many qualifications you have),they are given help via training courses etc for both training and job search/interviews,I have done this myself.

As have I, it's one of the many many great things about our welfare state, education, health and jobs for everyone if you are prepared to put in the effort.

There are racial, social, and economic factors that are in place that affect whether the welfare state works for you or not.

An example of this is the health care system in the UK where a racial supervisor role had to be established because of endemic racism preventing health care access to minority groups.

2) Not everyone can go to every university, but everyone can go to a university.
