Three displays with Vista?

Hi

Any forum member here uses Windows Vista to run three displays (not EyeFinity) on a Radeon HD6570 card with three outputs, including a DisplayPort?

My friend still uses Vista, and it's certain that Windows 7 powers three monitors, but he wants to know if Vista can also run three, perhaps with additional drivers or software.

Thanks in advance!

I was using Vista until recently (now on 8.1) and I have a triple monitor setup (1440p,1200p and a old 15" Dell)

Thanks, all, for your feedback.

palladium, did you have a working triple monitor setup using Vista and an AMD Radeon card with a DisplayPort (out of three outputs)? If so, was the standard AMD Catalyst driver all that was needed to power them?

Which AMD display card did you use with Vista?

Thanks again!

Also consider using multiple video cards simultaneously, as an alternative to buying a displayport adapter. I used to run two Nvidia video cards to get triple screen support under Windows XP I think it was. Anyway, your computer might have a built-in (integrated) video support right on the motherboard, that you might be able to activate in addition to the discrete AMD video card.

I've done 3 in Vista, 3rd one being my projector. Had a 7800gtx and a 6800 gs in my computer and 3 worked fine. 3 also works fine with two ATI 3870s. I would higly recommend sticking to the same brand of video card. Don't mix ATI and NVIDIA.
