I hate it when they move stuff around at the grocery store. Every once in a while my local store like to just swap aisles. It makes me

when people like you start making random threads. yes even at the grocery store.

but seriously? when ridiculously fat peopel are putting junk food into their shopping carts.

Why? It's not your body, what do you care?
Hint: everyone pays for health care.

Well then, you better get pissed off at all the people who:
buy ciggarettes
buy alcohol
buy margarine
buy any sugar substitute
buy any non-natural ice cream
buy any soda/pop
buy American cheese
because ALL of those things are harmful to the body.
Other than cigs, you're completely discounting how much of those items any person might eat and whether they exercise or not. I drink milk, cook with real butter, salt my food, drink soda, drink beer, eat cheese, etc but I'm also a very fit person because I don't gorge myself on these things and I (as you all know) exercise quite a bit.

I guess what I'm saying is that people who obviously have no self-discipline annoy me. When you allow yourself to become morbidly obese, myriad health issues start popping up and everyone pays. This just isn't on the same scale as the guy who gets a cavity because he drinks a lot of soda.

I hate it when I'm shopping in the nude and some punkass goes and calls the manager and I have to be escorted out of the store kicking and screaming.
But that hasn't happened in at least a week.

I wasn't talking about fat content when I made my list. Everything on my list has harmful chemicals in it.

So, really, are you annoyed with the person or annoyed with our flawed medical care system that causes people to pay for other people's poor choices?

You dont understand our point. Its not that someone is consuming these things. It's when someone is already clearly suffering from the physical sideeffects of these foods and they're still reaching for more.

Edit: hmm wierd my post didn't go through, anyways here it is again,

it's not that someone is consuming these foods. it's only when that person is clearly suffering from the physical side effects of these things and they're still eating more and more that annoys me.

People who still write checks are bad enough, but did you ever get in line behind some lady who not only writes a check, but proceeds to balance her checkbook right there while making you wait!

I see what you're getting at, but you have to be reasonable to some degree when it comes to the "I'm not putting that in my body" kinda choices. IMHO, the largest culprit by far with regard to the obesity and general ill-health epidemic is that people eat crap, eat a lot of it, and are sedentary for the most part.

As for the health-care system, that's really a question beyond the scope of my patience to discuss via a keyboard. Suffice to say that there's no easy answer since few people could pay for healthcare totally out-of-pocket, but (on the other hand) it seems unfair that most of my premiums as Joe Healthy Guy go to pay for Bob Fatass' chronic medical issues because he's a chronic fatass.

I don't like my health insurance going up either... and I do sometimes get annoyed when I see people abuse themselves because I know it will make my rates and costs go higher since I'll end up paying a share of it.

However, I realize that my annoyance at the medical system is justified while my annoyance at other people is not. It is fine for me to want to fix a system that affects me (health care) but it is not my place to tell other people how to live and how to treat themselves, so long as they aren't harming other people.

Right, but they're costing you money, so they are (indirectly) harming you. It's like me having to pay out the ass for a sportbike (even though I have years of experience and no tickets/claims because of all the 20 year-old morons who wrap their new CRB1000s around trees every weekend. There should be different rates for different lifestyles....but it'd be a massive mess trying to assign those rates because people would lie to get a better deal.
