If a users mom died, and I respond with a joke, I'd get banned. But if a random person dies everyone in the world is allow to make tasteless, unfunny jokes about the death with no repercussions? I'm not complaining, just wondering why one would get me banned, yet the other is perfectly fine.
 
Not to trying to offend you, But a person's mom is more close too,Then a random person. When you joke on a person's mom,It's offensive.
Also it even depends upon the nature of the joke

If a user's mom dies, and you make a joke, I'll ban you myself. If a random person dies and someone makes a joke, it depends on the context.
