Local costco doesn't have express line or self check out, so if you came to costco to buy one or two item you will have to stand half an hour line. Take in cosideration you pay for your membership, plus many items sold at costco in bulk can be purchase non bulk on sale at regular stores for lower prices

hehe, yeah...usually I don't see too many people only purchasing 1 or 2 items, but it's true, the lines can get pretty long at times...usually we're checking out with at least $200 on the bill, so we don't really care. Great place for a family. :)

You know you have a successful Costco when the lines are long. Or, you might have an over-crowded one. Costco does need an "express" lane, though. It would be really nice for those times when you have only a few items and need to get out quickly.

I've found that I prefer going to Costo either first thing in the morning, or later in the evening about 1/2 hour before they close. At those times, the lines are not too bad.

My costco is full any minute of they day

Another costco that is 25min away from me has less selection seriously especially food items. At another location I noticed that developed film packets just standing in public so anyone grab your pictures!!!

I've never had a problem with it, Costco is well staffed and the people seem like hard workers.

My costco is decent before closing... but during regular hours it's got long lines. It is an awesome place for SOME things, when you buy in bulk. Otherwise, other stores like wal-mart and grocery stores are better for small size/quantity items, and in some cases they have better deals altogether - although generally costco has better prices on things.

Cool, I see you are moving to NYC soon, well the Costco I usually go to in LIC rarely has long lines or more than 5 minutes of wait. Haven't been there for about 3 months ever since the opening of a BJs near me but I assume its the same.

Pictures are the same at the Costco my parents have been going to for about 10 years now. They have never had their pictures stolen. Why would anyone steal your pictures?
