the one who hurt me most was a sorority girl, and I thk the reason she wouldn't take me was because I wasn't popular/good looking...she's in a &quot;good sorority&quot; and I hate to make generalizations but believe me, the odds were against me as an non frat asian guy trying to go out with a tall blond sorority girl.
funny thing is, my sister is a sorority girl too 🙂

kitten, you heard their Northern Exposure album? There's an east and west coast version, with different cuts on each. Both are excellent.

I've heard the album, but had no idea there were two different versions...??! I'll have to check that out. Haven't had the chance to hear Oakie live yet, but maybe someday...

I think making fun of him isn't entirely justifiable really. I just found it humorous that he has so clueless. Furthermore, the poem wasn't very romantic and I'm sure if you read something like that to a girl, she would think you are &quot;scary.&quot; She would only think it was romantic if she was attracted to you physically. I guess making fun of zippy was wrong because he was in a tough situation, one I've been in, but I felt proud that I have graduated from being so clueless with girls. I'm slowing improving, but by no means is my &quot;game&quot; perfect...again, lets all try to ease up a little and stop looking to flame ppl and have some fun, and I don't wanna go back to the &quot;do you find fun in making someone's life miserable?&quot; because I doubt this is destorying zippy emotionally...

now let me ask you this. do you think zippy's poem has any redeeming qualities? remember, most things in life are based on merit, and not effort. you can push and push but you ultimately can not make someone love you. believe me, I've tried. I just wasn't good enough and I think zippy's poem was FAR from even being good enough.

Actually Red, my husband still writes me love letters, (granted, they are few and far between, but they are there...) and drove home four hours to be with me on Valentine's Day. And that is after almost ten years of marriage. So your theory does not quite wash... 😉
 
So really if you're truthful and you had confided something to me about your uncle and his history with you, I'm willing to bet I could post something that would make you feel pretty damn sad, if not maybe even cry.

The fact is many of us here consider each other to be friends we can confide in and talk to. If you're not interested in that let it go, but there is no reason to make fun of them. Why does adul post pictures of his fiance? Well because most of us care and are happy for him. Why did many post in dennilfloss's asskicking thread with congrats on his good deed, because we care. If you don't care or don't want to take part in this stuff don't, but mocking someone is simply trolling.

this really makes me wonder, why are you so popular? I mean you have ppl that support you no matter what... and its not obviously because you're so insightful or clever...
