Apparently a sensitive subject. My question, modified from my first post is, why don't moderators list reasons for locking threads? It would clearly be possible. My first thread on this subject got two responses that weren't particularly informative then god descended and locked. Does god speak to mortals? If explanations were given, hey, some people might even learn something.
 
Sometimes mods shouldn't have to respond as to why a thread is locked - in most cases it's fairly obvious, but I agree - there are some cases where clarification would help.
 
I dont understand why my chapelle thread got locked.... I mean if youre gonna lock the thread, because the fake rkelly video might be offensive, why wasnt the link edited out?
 
Agreed. I don't have a problem with mods locking topics that may be offensive, illegal, or just plain wastes of bandwidth, but what might seem common sense to a mod or even a large portion of people doesn't mean that it doesn't warrant a quick 1-line explanation to those who don't see it as common sense.
