2) Locking threads ? Threads that violate user or posting guidelines or degrade into flame wars or are full of nef posts will be locked. Locking will always be preferred to editing or deletion where possible. If a thread is meandering off topic and could still be saved, moderators may issues a warning in the thread that it is in danger of being locked. Otherwise, when locking a thread, the moderator will post a reason before the lock.

So based on this set of guidelines, what in this topic caused it to be locked less than 2 minutes later after I posted it, other than the fact I am 8 years old and someone can't appreciate my sense of humor?

And certainly no one else even had a chance to complain about it to a MOD less than 2 minutes after I posted it. I did one refresh on the topic after I posted it and was going to edit a few answers and it was locked, almost instantly.

It's not like I post a lot of topics, and rarely do. And many of my posts are in a serious vein, but I can try to be humorous at times. I would appreciate some clarification of why this was locked in Off Topic of all places, where it seems nearly anything is fair game for a LOL sort of topic or post.

This reminds me of the constant locks on parody threads that are often funnier and more entertaining than the original threads were. Why is there so much unnecessary comedy policing going on simply based on someones arbitrary view of comedy in OT? Just because someone else don't get the humor, don't mean no one else will, and all they have to do is leave the thread if they have no sense of humor. They don't have to insult or demean someone over the topic just because they personally don't get it.

I have had miss sprinkling incidents myself, either where I was the victim or the culprit of it, and that's why I posted this topic, in a harmless and humorous way using a few double entendres and using childish terminology in order to not be offensive. And I feel everyone else has also had incidents about this, which makes sprinkling a pretty common and relevant topic to anyone who posts. And I was looking forwards to the splash back, I mean feedback and the poll results.

Some people can't stand Howard Stern, others find him hysterical. I find him sometimes funny, but more often than not just stupid. But I certainly wouldn't fault him for trying to make others laugh in the process. Maybe my post was found to be stupid. But was it offensive enough to warrant a lock?

Comedy is a hit or miss entertainment, much like gold hunting. And those gold nuggets are usually few and far between. One 8 year olds harmless sprinkle humor is another mans bitter tinkle poison, I guess.

Some topics are just not suitable for discussion in OT, problems hitting the toilet while urinating is one of them. If you think I'm being unfair please PM Derek, I have no qualms about unlocking that thread if he deems it appropriate for that forum.

Ah. If that's the case then this question and observation would be superfluous, then. I thought it was a jab at the attempt at juvenile humor element, based on the 8 year old comment, not the tinkle part of it.
