Thread lock inquiry

I was wondering if I could get a brief explaination on why the my thread was locked on the issue of rape, for future reference, so I do not duplicate the error in a similar fashion.

We left the thread open as long as the discussion was mature. That stopped when you updated the thread to say the girl was drunk an using several drugs, and the discussion got hung up on that.

That thread was locked for many reasons, one of them being the lack of maturity some of the members here possess.
