Man, I don't know what you were expecting, but I have an Xbox and I absolutely LOVE it! Perhpas your expectations were a little lofty or something... but there's no doubt about it, Xbox rocks and it has quite a few killer titles already. My friends and I just can't stop playing it!

While the Xbox is nod a Pc replacer. you certiainyl cant get a Pc that cheap for games. Its seems nice to me. (compared to Ps2 and gamecube)

Most of the people hating the Xbox have never even played one, or have only played one in a store. It takes more time to get to know a console than 15 minutes of watching or playing. You realize the PS2 had problems at it's launch? But you blindly went and purchased it cause the PS1 was awesome, but now MS has a console and you dog it from day one just cause it's Microsoft. Most of you people need to serious get lives and quit trashing products just to jump on some stupid bandwaggon and player hate a company. GET A LIFE ALREADY!!!
Ok i've owned the PS2 since it came out. It does have some great game and i've enjoyed playing it. The graphics are lacking compaired to the Gamecube and Xbox, but they are high enough that you can play and not be annoyed so much. Plus the controllers are probably the best any stock console has ever come out with, just about everyone loves them. There are load times to games that rival that of the Gamecube and Xbox
I purchased an Gamecube for my 4 1/2 yr old son for Christmas. We also got 2 extra controllers, Luigi Mansion, Madden 2002, and Star Wars. We've also rented Batman and Super Monkey Ball. First off, the form factor (unit size) is amazingly small and great). The controllers are pretty good, i kinda feel the cross style controller and the C controller is a little too far out, but otherwise the controllers are 2nd to playstation, they play good (oh yeah, dont like where the Z button is either, minor complaint though). Graphicly the cube is awesome. Games like starwars really look good and play really fast. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it looks and plays. There are some loadtimes on games, but they are pretty short. You ALSO have to remember that it is using a smaller disk with smaller storage than the Xbox, hence quicker load times. But Nintendo is going to run into a problem eventually when games grow out of the disk, cause they arent that large in storage compaired to Playstation and Xbox. But overall i think the console is great and the games are fun - for both children AND adults.

I'm like other people, i really dont care for the controllers. They are a big large and bulky, but there will be better 3rd party controllers out soon (if they already aren't). But for people to sit there and say "it'd be better with a keyboard and mouse), your obviously missing the whole point of a console! Yeah so i'm supposed to give my 3 friends a keyboard and mouse on my couch for us to play some shoot'em up's!!! yeah that'd be so much fun! Get your head out of the PC and have fun! The console is about fun, no one wants to sit around with a keyboard and mouse on their lap while playing with friends. Also, I don't any games on the Gamebox game outlook that look even as remotly good as halo.

While I do agree that they are expensive some people can afford them... hell the xbox has sold near 1M systems in just over a month. So from that stand point the XBox is sucessfull... like I said, I think there is plenty of room for 3 players in the console market.

Nowadays graphics are good enough already. Besides, I've only got a tiny non-HDTV to connect it to, so I'm not too worried about the graphics.
I care more about the fun I can have with the games. Nintendo's consoles always come with a number of very entertaining games. The PS2 and XBox focus only on racing, sports and action (with the occasional RPG on the PS2).

Thats definately NOT one good reason. A $100 is not going to break the bank. Maybe you havent seen how many Playstation 2's have been sold lately? Have you seen the sales figures for the Xbox? They are selling out everywhere. $100 wont make someone not buy it. It didnt with the Playstation 2!

XBOX is great. Gotham Racing is cool - graphics are great. Saw 6 hours of gaming use on Xmas day followed by 4 hours of DVD -
well worth it. Boot time and load times are much better than the PC. Love the controller - most complain about size and weight - I think they just got used to cheap controllers.

Actually it's mainly for my brother, who's a gamefreak. I just like it to play a game once in a while, except when it's Zelda or another interesting RPG, of course
