I recommend the san marino from eurocom link. It's about 200$ cheaper for base price(remember, its all in canadian) it has a 5 hour battery life, and its nice :).

personally i wouldnt buy either of these machines, but i'd get the sager since they are a bigger company.

i'm figuring you want a p4 witha radeon 7500.

the compaq presario 2800 is $2599 - $200 rebate. with a mobile 1.7 and radeon 7500 , 5.4-5.7 pounds . thats a lot more than these. i wouldnt skimp on brand for a laptop, if i had a certain budget and could only get a really cheap brand p4 or a good brand like ibm, toshiba, hp, dell, sony p3 i'd get the p3.

One thing i personally always look for in a laptop is that it has a mobile processor, I know most sagers dont (and most other cheap laptops) which means they get hot and have not battery life. Get a name brand.

Sager and Prostar sell virtually identical laptops. The ODM for both companies is Kapok and Clevo. In fact, a few people are of the opinion that Sager, Prostar, Future Tech, and a few others "manufacturers" are all essentially owned by the same company, just like Amptron, PC Chips, Alton, Elpina, Matsonic, et al are all identical products.
