Dell Inspiron 8200
Mobile P4 - 1.8 w/ 15" Dell UltraSharp Screen
384MB DDR
40GB 5400RPM Hard Drive
8x DVD, Floppy
64MB DDR 4XAGP GeForce4 440 Go

And everything else is the cheap/no extra cost option, for a total of $1,838. It'd mainly be for school/gaming, and not really an "on the go" laptop.

Comments/Recommendations/Nefs? TIA :)

if this is not on-the-go, then this is one heck of a laptop that will last you forever(without the strained shoulders)..........!! ;)

I got mine when the I8200 first came out and I'm very happy with it. It's a very good machine.

Had mine for just over a week now, and it's great. Definitely would recommend it to anyone. :)

A month or so ago I purchased the same laptop (..pretty much). I'm quite happy with it. A little heavy but that's about the only complaint.

If it's jsut going to sit on your desk all the time, get a similarly spec'ed desktop for 1/2 the price. Don't spend a lot more on a laptop just cause you want a laptop.

If you can wait then definitely wait, the price will probably drop in about 1-2 months.
