thoughts on this ergo mouse

Eh I don't know about that.

I think it would be really hard to use since your use to a "normal mouse".

I also think that your hand would get tired in that wierd position, versus your hand laying on the mouse.

and when your typing with 2 hands of course on your keyboard, you can't simply just reach for your mouse without looking, if you did with that mouse, you would knock it over on its side,

i'm not worried about adapting. the plus here is the ergonomic advantages. I doubt you'll get tired MORE from using this mouse than any other. It seems very good and yet highly unpopular. I'm wondering what other AT'ers think.

i have a ms mouse. i convinced my coworker to buy one of these but she took it home. i'll see if i can borrow it. i dont' see why this mouse would be worse. everything takes getting used to. the position of your hand is actually more natural, i don't see why you'd get more tired.

Like everything new, it just looks unnatural. I know they probably spent big $$$ on R&D. Or someone one night got really stoned, and though he was seeing everything sideways, and the next morning when he awoke his mouse was crazy glued on its side. Now, so his friend would not be like "dude, your mousey is cruket" he came up with the great idea of a sideways mouse, and called it an evolutionary change. Now he can tell his buds "I had a halusianary vision, and its gonna get me mad g's in the account"

Seriously it looks painful, and it might be great, but I am not willing to experiment with my wrists.

I've thought about getting that mouse too. My hand "wants" to be in that position for mousing. I get a little strain in my wrist from having it "flat" while using a regular mouse. The MS intellimouse explorer 3 works is the best mouse for me that I've tried so far. The only reason I have not bought that ergo mouse yet is the price. If it was $25. or less I'd buy it in a second.
If you do buy one, please post your experience with it.

Just get the new leather logitech mouse and be done with it. It fits well and feels nice.

I tried one of those out at CompUSSR and it just felt waaaay to weird for me. Doing any fast gaming moves is going to take a whole arm move instead of just a quick wrist-flick.

Dude, with index, and middle fingers of my left hand just off center, the right doing triple duty on the shifter, radio, phone. Now if the need for turn signals (only if cops are visible), or wipers arises, then the left knee comes into the action.

the mx mice are closer to the ergo style then the ms. plus, the ms resolution is inferior
