The president is a douche and has no business in a game. But he's the rockstar President. Got to get his image out there.
Typical EA putting shit in a sports game that has no business being in a sports game.

waaah. i don't like the current president and it offends me that his likeness appears in a video game.

wah.

Yeah, as much as I hate EA (a lot) I can't fault them for doing what makes them money. It's the fucking retarded "broseph" community that buys the shit and keeps it profitable.

This is basically how it is, and it infuriates me far more than EA cashing in on it:

I bought 2010 last year, and thought it was meh..

The best Madden was 07 for the pc which used the last gen game engine. Gameplay was awesome on it. The cone thing for the qb was great, loved it. We ran a custom league on the pc as well. Which was awesome!!! Everything was done manually. We had a web page up and updated all of our own news, info, stats, etc.

It's only going to get worse. Money grabs, that's all it is. More advertising bucks. Bullshit DLC. You'll have to pay $5 to unlock all madden mode this year. If you want updated rosters online, there's another $2.99 DLC. etc etc...

WTF, did I misread this? Are you saying it could happen or are they doing that this year?

WOW.....and I thought it was bad that you had to pay for the AFL Legacy pack last year. If EA is going to do shit like that, there's no way you should have to pay $60 for that game.

Nah, I made those up. But the fact that you thought it might be true shows just how far they've come. I wouldn't doubt if some key things are left out purposely so you have to buy some DLC.

As for people still buying the game, of course they are. What do you expect? Its the most popular sport in America and the only company allowed to make a game based on that sport. There is no other freaking option. If there were, I'd be you a buck they wouldn't be half as successful as they are now.

Well besides that -- are they really putting Obama in the game? Is EA so low on features that they have to start throwing in appearances by random celebrities?

since when is the most powerful man in the world, the President of the United States of America, a "random celebrity????"

Well, FWIW, them charging for the AFL Legacy Pack last year REALLY pissed me off. Why couldn't they have just added the uniforms into the game?

I hope they lose their exclusive deal with the NFL. IMO, the best Madden ever was Madden 05 and of course, it had to go up against NFL 2K5, which is why it had to be good.

Is that supposed to be a selling feature? Why waste time on something that doesn't matter when the game is full of issues? That's the point.

lol i have no idea..lol could give 2 shits about Obeezy being in Madden 2011...i'm just saying..the most powerful man in the world is NOT just a "random celebrity"

that's like calling Michael Jordan a "basketball player" instead of the "greatest fucking basketball player to ever live"

They dicked way too much with the controls. The game looks and runs FANTASTICALLY, but I want my right stick moves back, sprinting back (I know they say you can turn it back on, but where????? I've looked!), pass protection back, etc.

The gameplan is a really cool idea, but doubt I'd use it.

Honestly I'm really happy with NCAA this year. I wish it had Maddens framerate, but the gameplay and controls are just right for my tastes.

PS - the commentary is awful in the demo.

I'll be getting it, I don't have any choice, I have to have my yearly roster update. I'm not happy about it though. I definitely won't buy and DLC.

Update the roster yourself, Madden can kiss my grits if they think I am paying $60 for their stupid roster update and ad campaign

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. Gus Johnson sounds like he is screaming the entire game.

Not only that, I notice a couple of collinworth's lines refer back to tom hammond, last years commentator.

That's just lazy.

Just FYI - EA Sports is going to update the game after it is released to give players the option to use the Strategy Pad or the original controls for audibles and adjustments.

Well, that is certainly good news. They should do the same thing for the kicking meter as well.

That's another thing... why did they change the kicking meter?

I mean, I'm not exactly a fan of the old one, but how is the new one any better? A three click bar? Seriously?

Golfing games are trending away from that, and madden goes back to it? Makes no sense. They need to make a kicking meter that's actually challenging everytime to make a kick. Otherwise it becomes routine and boring.

I bought NFL 2K5 for $1 at the local Gamestop. I haven't really played it, but maybe I should use it this upcoming season instead of Madden 10.

I just saw NFL 2k5 at my walmart... brand new. They still wanted $15 for it.o_O I'm thinking the same though. I just wonder if I could somehow import current rosters and schedules. I'm sure it's being done though.

They just change things for the sake of change. It makes the game look newer and different. Remember when Franchise mode had full management of ticket prices, concessions etc... then they took that out for a few years. Then they brought it back and advertised it as a new feature.
