If the bios supports booting from USB...then I can't see why not!

My lexar 128 meg drive is great. I use it frequently. It's much easier than burning things to a cdrw. In addition, it fits in my pocket. Try doing that with a CDRW!
 
Thanks for the update, I will be looking for the Apacer since I may as well get USB 2.0 support. A friend was going to sell me a 512meg USB 1.1 for pretty cheap ($120 CAD) but I think if I ever have to transfer a significant amount of data I will be upset at the slow speed.
