Thoughts on Dell U2410 + PS3/Wii? DisplayPort/HDMI Question

What with a $100 off, I might take the dive and finally get a U2410. The only question I have is what the quality of a PS3 and a wii on it would be like. Any thoughts?

Also curious, which would be the better output for my 5850: displayport or hdmi?

Has anyone ever hooked up a PS3 to a u2410? In about 3 days I'll be able to answer this question myself...

Never done it on a U2410 but I've done it on a BenQ FP241VW but there is an under (or maybe over) scan issue with the first versions of the monitor.

I don't have a u2410, but i do have a 2407wfp, and it's fucking great with my consoles.

2410 is a great buy, because they finally fixed the input lag which was RAMPENT in the 2408,, huge disappointment.

If you're tight on space,, the Color, connectivity and response time of u2410, is the best combination for that price range. 😀

I know someone that does that ps3 + dell u2410 all the time and it goes great on it. Nothing to worry bout here, if that's the monitor you're eyeing, go for it.

Definitely use the Display Port cable and for your HD5850+U2410.

In contrast, DisplayPort is the digital interface for connecting flat-panel displays to computer systems. It will eventually replace VGA, DVI, and LVDS in IT equipment such as home and office PCs, projectors, monitors, and data center consoles. HDMI is not designed to meet these internal and external IT connectivity requirements...it is an external consumer electronics interface.

I agree HDMI is crummy, but save yourself the money and just use the DVI cable that comes with the monitor.😱

The u2410 comes with a DP cable.

How did this work out for you? I have read that the Playstation 3 slim doesn't work with the u2410. Hoping that someone here can tell me if that's true or not.
