Thoughts on chrysler 300C

he always looks elsewhere, but comes back to GM because you cant beat what GM offers with our GMS discount 15% off is a lot.

but what are your thoughts on the 300C? MT said the interior was bland, but the car was powerful, and nice. excluding looks, would you take the 300C over a cadillac CTS? and have you sat in a 300C/CTS what are your thoughts on both?

MIKE

I've actually been wanting a CTS for a while (not going to happen financially, but for a luxury car, that's what I would get). However I did love the looks of the old style 300M, and I like this one as well.

Your comment is funny in that I said to my fiance earlier today something to the effect of "I found a replacement car for the CTS". 🙂

edit: btw, fix your signature.

I've only seen one at the car show (and it was a preproduction model) so I can't say much about the production interior.
The reviews I've read (of both the 300 and the Dodge Magnum) have been very positive in general, with the Hemi trims in particular looking like an excellent value. The 300C is damn quick, too, for its size.

Quote from Car & Driver" If the plant gets the 300c built right, the cymbal crash may be deafening", talking about Chrysler saving it's own skin to the uproarious clash of cymbals.
I recieved in the mail for some reason. a 70 page Road & Track "special issue" all about the 300c.
All in all not a bad package, M-B tranny and suspension pieces. I'd take a 6cyl Touring package,But I've sworn off domestic cars after my Chrysler Cirrus.
Maybe they have it right this time, who knows????

I like the 300C a lot. The inferior trim lines aren't worth it, IMO (one major reason being the engines are not powerful enough to move a car of that size, 4100 pounds), but the Hemi puts out a sh!t-ton of power and manages to move it 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Also, the C model gets the "Autostick" pseudo-manumatic which, after owning a 300M, is indispensible. Really a nice edition to an automatic gearbox. Good brakes, too.

I don't think the interior is bland, but the tortoiseshell trim isn't really my style. Overall, though, it's not bad. Fit and finish is superior to the outgoing 300M.

And on the outside, it looks badass. Dark colors look really nice.

CTS and 300C are two fairly different cars. They just happen to fall in the same price range.

The CTS is smaller, more sporty, and more agile and can be equipped with a manual transmission of that's what you desire.

The 300C is much larger, and doesn't have as athletic a suspension as the CTS.

The two cars would have quite a different driving feel to them.

The 300C would be a more enjoyable highway cruiser while the CTS would be more enjoyable zip around town in.

The 300C is a much faster car, but it isn't as agile. So it just comes down to personal preference.

On my way back from Home Depot I stopped by a Chrysler lot just to check out the 300C. They looks just as good in person and on Tv and paper. They are already sold the 2 Hemis they had but the interior in the 3.5l version looked nice to me. I didn't really get to check it because the saleman wouldn't leave me alone. There were a couple people looking at the two 6 bangers they had left.

My '01 dodge intrepid es has the auto stick. Its a neat addition.

The car looks really good in person. The MB transmission is only available with the Hemi. The rest get Chrysler transmissions. Also, the new 3.6L engine of the CTS doesn't come with manual. The 300c Hemi is pretty expensive (TL, G35 area), with unknown Chrysler reliability. I would tell your dad to get an Acura TL.

In looks that is.

IMO this car is a Bently for the masses. Huge motor, bold and edgy looks, huge grille, smooth riding, etc...

No other car quite fits the same basic formula 😀
