I'm not homophobic, but like I said... I just really don't know that I care. I mean, if I met 20 new people at a party, what are the odds I'll run into even 2 or 3 of them again, and then, what are the odds that after that, I'll see them anymore?

I'm going to be graduating from college this fall with my special ed certification. I plan to stay in the k-4 grade area but what really has my attention is kindergarten. I love to work with small children so I'm really leaning towards the 5-6 year old age bracket. Also, I really like the energy that young children give out and working with them on their fine motor skills would be neat.
So people if you met a male at a party and he told you that he teaches kindergarten what would your initial reaction be? Would think the guy was a wuss, or a overpriced babysitter?
😀
I'd really think you would want to watch the payo n that. Chances are you couldn't sustain yourself on that income.

Props to you for willing to teach 5-6 year olds. Tell us how your first year goes...
But impressions? You like milfs?

the schools need more male teachers, badly. Women don't work well together, especially when there are no males present. Also, many young children coming from single-mother homes could use a positive male role model.

So true. I've been in the elementary school's around my area and women teachers greatly outnumber male teachers 10-1. Not that I'm complaining. 😀
Also we do need more male role models in public schools, especially in the inner cities. I don't think that I could teach in Camden or Newark. I'd need a bullet proof vest!
