I have to say this is probably the best DVD I've ever bought/rented. Of course it's one of my favorite movies so that probably helps :) BTW, did anyone else find the screenwriter's commentary a lot more interesting than Ron Howards? :p

Best movie ever, it's better love story than pearl harbor or titanic because it's more realistic, makes more sense ans(in pearl harbors case) is not a crazy atempt a showing some sort of twisted patriotism. Anyways the movie is great.... his speech always makes me cry when I watch it

I bought the DVD a week ago, and found the film to be very entertaining. i can see myself watching it again down the road. Great performances from Crowe and Connelly.

Watched it last night, great movie.

My wife was saying that when it came out there was a little hubbub over the fact that they protrayed John Nash as a more likeable person than he was in real life.

You do realize many movies aren't exactly how the events were in real life right?

I thought is was anti climatic and just fizzled at the end. I taped the dvd and already taped over it. the special effects with the baby seemed illogical. a lot of work when they could have used green screen arms holding the baby the whole time, just like they did in the close up. I guess once you get the initial matte then the rest is just adjustments. I didn't notice any of the effects, like pigeons and leaves on the tree, when watching the movie, which is that point I guess...It was funny in the making of video when the real nash was explaining his latest work to ron howard, which you could tell had no clue what nash was talking about.

Really... do you know the real john nash? cause i've seen him here on more the a few occasions, and i know ppl who knew him. Besides the was he bi. debate, i think it's quite on target. sure, they made him a little more presentable for the bigscreen, and had to compress his story to 2 hours or so, but still to this day he walks around campus with the umbrella and that bag, lookin much like russel crowe did at the end. i thought it was a very well done movie and i know for a fact the ron howard did a great deal of research here on campus and all the shots of princeton were also done here. there were some artistic liberties taken of course, like the little pen giving thing which an advisor said wouldn't have taken place but ron liked the idea so he used it. that and the fact that nobel prize winners don't give speeches. but all in all i thought it was quite good.
