Current incarnations of variable displacement have not shown to cause issues like this mess did.

I don't argue that a whole lot, but I do think that autos take much more away from small displacement high-strung motors with no low-end torque compared to very stout V8s and such.

nearly $40k now and they still have crap interiors. I remember when I saw the inside of one back in the 90s. Come on Ford...

I like styling as much as anybody but you're staring at its interior 90% of the time.
