Better the limiter than the drive-shaft snap, or have a blow out. I was being a little facetious. The SRT has the parts to go the top speed (173 on the A5, 180 on the M6), but the RT doesn't.

Just ask the Mustang owners what happens when you remove the limiter and try to drive fast ;)

What happens? Broken drive-shaft? Hopefully they replace the shitty stock tires before they remove the limiter.

Yeah, I have no desire to remove it. But on flat roads, 80mph, 120mph, 140mph all feels the same. I'm sure 160 isnt a stretch. Just seeing that 160 on the speedo and knowing I couldnt reach it because of software is like an itch that cant be scratched. Its not everyday you find essentially deserted stretches of straight road that are 10+ miles long. Well, unless you live in Nevada. :biggrin:

I'm on the stock drive shaft for my 2011 GT, it's only the v6 cars that have issues at high mph.

OP, how'd you get the timer to show up? I've been dying to get the timer up on my fathers 300C, but can't figure out how.

I know it exists on his model because I've seen videos, but no one posts where it's hidden.

Its not hidden, so unless its an SRT, it not equipped

What I would like that the 12s have that mine doesn't is the selectable suspension and the paddle shifters.

No way I'd drive a 300 just for pretty pictures. No thanks.

Well, it would be fun to do it on ice just the once. Then try to convince your non-car buddies that your car goes 0-60 in 1 second.;)

I did that in my old Galant. Went from 0-100 in like 1 second flat. That could NOT have been good for the car.

Yeah... it's really dangerous for the transmission to spin that fast without much load. It gets even worse if you melt through the ice to the pavement below it. Ask me how I know...

At least with an LSD it's not *as* bad because 100 would mean 100 on both tires. with an open diff, 100 would have been 1 tire at 200.

Going to have to call b.s. though a bit because if it was a manual, no way you shifted fast enough to do that, and if it were an auto, it would have shifted faster than it was likely capable of doing.
