Its somewhat of a shame...acceleration was constant then you just hit the limiter. But its rare that you get the chance to run into it.
Better the limiter than the drive-shaft snap, or have a blow out. I was being a little facetious. The SRT has the parts to go the top speed (173 on the A5, 180 on the M6), but the RT doesn't.
Just ask the Mustang owners what happens when you remove the limiter and try to drive fast
